Nokia announces its latest business device

London (xpert4u) May 19, 2006: Nokia, the world’s leading mobile phone manufacturer, announced its new addition to the E-series family of business devices. The new Nokia E50 is apt for people who want a single phone for both business and leisure use. E50 is a cheap, voice-centric device that comes with or without camera.

The E50 offers excellent voice and calling functionality and has the ability to have two phone numbers in one device. Regular features include an MP3 player and an optional 1.3-mega pixel camera. The new business device also includes a search function that enables fast queries into important data such as contacts, e-mails and messages. The user can quickly access important business attachments received through e-mail via Quickoffice viewer.
The Nokia E50 supports popular corporate mobile e-mail solutions including Intellisync Wireless E-mail by Nokia, BlackBerry Connect, Visto Mobile, Altexia and Microsoft ActiveSync. This quad-band EDGE phone is likely to be available during this quarter itself.
Pekka Isosomppi at Nokia's enterprise division said that E-series devices were optimised for data but they were voice workhorses as well. He also added that all the E-series devices were very similar but there was variety in terms of price. E50 offers maximum data capabilities along with Nokia’s Intellisync Device Management service that enables remote enterprise grade device management, without additional client software installation, on OMA DM capable devices such as the Nokia E-series.
